.. Sebastian Bayne |
.Sebastian most recent release "Dub City EP" was charted by DJs all over the globe and peaked at #7 in the German Club Charts. He is currently working on his second release with Kisu and has also remixed DJ Wordy for Dirtybird Records and completed a remix of Little Nobody's classic "Cocaine Speaking". As a DJ Sebastian is best recognised for playing a pioneering role, helping to develop the dance music scene in China. He now DJs in clubs and on radio throughout Australia, and the world. After a number of years organising parties and collecting records Sebastian was intoxicated by the emerging software technology allowing music producers to make music totally 'in-the-box'. Early attempts to master computer music production were thwarted by an opportunity to live and work in Beijing as a resident DJ and club promoter. Production took a back seat to the parties. Four years went in a blink and Sebastian left Beijing for London to re-groove and move his focus back to his first inspiration, the idea of making music on a computer. London, a second home to Sebastian, provided constant challenges and gave him his first break in music production. Both as an artist and a teacher. Wanting to hone his self-taught production skills, Sebastian took some music production courses at the famous 'Pointblank Music College' in Hoxton. Upon completion of his studies, two of Sebastian's early works were picked up by Pointblank's music publishing company for use in media via the Universal Music. He then began working for Pointblank as a Youth Project tutor, teaching DJing and computer music production courses to underage kids. These days Sebastian is happy to be home living and making music in Sydney, and traveling as much as possible. He also finds time to write the Machinemusik column 'Tales of the 808' for 3D World Magazine.
